The mission lady bulldogs lost game one to eureka in five games.  They will play tomorrow (Friday) at 10:00 AM versus Bigfork.

The girls volleyball team defeated Deer Lodge in the play in game, lost to Florence, beat Ronan and took third in the district volleyball tournament.

2013 Fall Sports Award Ceremony

There will be a fall sports award ceremony Thursday night at 6:30 in the high school commons.  The booster club will be providing cake for the event.  The ceremony will celebrate the highlights of the Cross Country, Volleyball, and Football teams.

Fall 2012-2013 Honorees

The MHSA/Army National Guard Academic All Team Award is given to the top three (3) teams that exhibit outstanding academic achievement during the school year’s first quarter of play for that activity and will be awarded to all levels of competition (varsity, junior varsity, sophomore and freshman) to each MHSA schools’ classification (AA, A, B and C).

MHSA member schools calculate their students’ accumulative average for the award. Fall selections are determined using only students who have participated in first quarter activities including Cross County, Fall Spirit, Football, AA and A Golf, Soccer, and Volleyball.

High School Fall Sports Banquet Location Change

The Missoula children's theater will now be holding auditions in the Elementary Gym thus allowing athletics to be able to host our banquet in the Multipurpose Room.  Sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused.  If you have any questions, please contact rferris@stignatiusschools.org

Mission Volleyball All-Star Tournament

The game will be played in Mission on Thursday the 15th at 7 pm.  We asked the girls to be at the gym by 6:00 so they can do run throughs with their teams.  We've had confirmation from Arlee, Polson, Mission, Ronan, and Charlo.    Gate prices are 3$ for students and 4$ for adults.

The girls volleyball team was victorious in three games against the Deer Lodge Wardens.  The next game is against Florence at 5:00 PM

Volleyball Game Time Schedule Change

The start time for the October 11th's high school volleyball match against Loyola has been moved back 15 minutes per contest.  The C Squad game will start at 4:15 the B Squad is scheduled for 5:45 and varsity is scheduled at 7:15.

Rich Ferris and I have read and discussed the rules in the MHSA handbook on "open gyms."  As a volunteer, cleared by St Ignatius School and the School Board, I have decided to open our gym. Tuesday, September 11th, HS VB at home versus Ronan (3 Games) with a 4:00 start time.
                                         MS FB at Thompson Falls (1 game?) with a 4:00 start time.
                                         MS VB at Charlo with a 4:00 start time.

Thursday, September 12th, HS Volleyball at home versus Deerlodge (3 games) with a 4:00 start time.

Friday, September 14th, HS Football at home versus Eureka with a 7:00 PM start time.

Friday, August 31st at 1:00 P.M. Cross Country will be at Ronan's Canal Bank Run.  The bus will be leaving at 11:30 A.M.
Friday, August 31st at 7:00 P.M.  Football will play the Plains Horseman in St. Ignatius.
Saturday, September 1st Mission High School Volleyball will play Troy's Junior Varsity and Varsity with games starting at 4:30 P.M.

Saturday, August 19th sports practice schedule

The following will be the practice schedule for Saturday, August 19th:
Cross Country - no practice
Volleyball - 9 A.M. to 11 A.M.
Football - 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. and a scrimmage from 7 P.M. to 9 P.M.

Fall Sports Start Times

Monday, August 13th is the first day of practice for Cross Country, Football and Volleyball.
Below is the practice schedule for Monday, August 13th thru Friday, August 17th.

Volleyball's first practice is from 9 AM to 11 AM and the second practice is from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM.

Cross Country will begin practice at 5 PM and end at 7 PM.

Football's first practice is from 9 AM to 11 AM and the second practice is from 7 PM to 8:45 PM.

FALL SPORTS MEETINGS & REQUIREMENTS

Mission High School would like to invite all student athletes and their parents to attend one of two Fall Activity Meetings to review the 2012-13 Activities Handbook, participation requirements, meet with the individual coaches to start the season off!
